Required Self-Install Procedure Announced for New or Reconnecting Customers

Safety is Our Focus

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change we are monitoring things closely and making decisions that are based on the safety and wellbeing of our customers, employees and their families.  All levels of our government are expressing the need for increased social distancing and we are encouraging everyone to take responsible action to help contain the spread of this virus.

Self-Install Procedure

To meet the need for quick connectivity and out of an abundance of caution, we are encouraging new and existing customers to perform self-installs for high speed internet, Wi-Fi, phone or basic video service. 

With a self-installation we will do the following:

  • Our technician will visit your location during your scheduled appointment window.
  • We will provide you with the equipment and easy to follow instructions needed to complete your self-installation of Internet, TV and/or Phone service.
  • Our technician will work outside, checking the wiring, connections and signal levels to your home.
  • If assistance is needed, our technician will "coach" you through the installation while onsite but outside your home.  If work is required inside your home, the appointment will need to be rescheduled until our in-home operating restrictions ease.
  • Homes requiring inside wiring may not qualify at this time for self-installation and will require an in-home technician appointment that will need to be rescheduled at this time.  We will provide weekly status updates and notify customers once our in-home operating restrictions ease.
  • Service may not be available in all areas.
