Our Top 3 Tips for Using Blue Ridge Stream

Change can be scary - but it doesn’t have to be. Knowledge can be powerful, so our team is breaking down our top 3 tips for our next generation, Blue Ridge Stream. All so you can make the most informed decision for your streaming needs. Now you can experience life as it should be – uncomplicated and on your terms.

Tip #1: Discover What Our Best-in-Class Voice Control Can Do:

If you’ve ever wished for superpowers like voice control, you’re one step closer with Blue Ridge Stream. One of our coolest features is the Google-powered voice remote. Google Assistant has the best voice recognition out there. You simply say, “hey Google” and get started. You can just use normal, conversational language rather than awkward commands.

While you may just wish to “Netflix and Chill,” let’s face it: sometimes that’s a lot easier said than done. Life is full of interruptions, and we’ve got a plan for when the dog barks, baby cries, dad starts snoring, and everything in between. We’ve built in the ability to play, pause, skip, or rewind content all with the power of your voice.

Voice control isn’t new anymore and it’s part of so many different smart devices we have throughout our homes, but it really keeps getting better.

Tip #2: Explore TiVo’s Exclusive Features:

TiVo is more than meets the eye. Not only does your experience have an intuitive user interface, but it also lends itself to exclusive features like a home screen, where you can find categories for anything you’re looking for, or “My Shows”, to pick up where you left off. If you need a recommendation for what to put on, check out “What to Watch,” based on your history. Or, if you’re looking for how to find shows and set up recordings quickly, simply select “Your Onscreen Guide.” You can also access to a huge array of on-demand movies, TV shows, and videos right in the Video-On-Demand section. And, of course, parental controls are available to let you filter programs, as needed, for your kids. Last, but certainly not least, Blue Ridge Stream comes with TiVo+, which is 150 additional channels with a bunch of original content.

Tip #3: Welcome the Flexibility You’ll Get with Cloud DVR:

We’re cutting the cord. That means more space. Your recordings are no longer tied to the physical box in your house. With Blue Ridge Stream, you’ll get Cloud DVR options instead, which allows for recordings that reside online, accessible through your WiFi or the Blue Ridge Stream app. It’s easy to record – just search on your remote or use your voice, press and hold “ok” on your chosen program, select “options,” and then hit “record.” And even more simple to watch – just hit the “TiVo” button, then “My Shows”, highlight the program, and press “ok.”

And no matter what your needs are, there’s an option for you. Cloud DVR has levels of service available from 25 hours saved for 10 days, 75 hours saved for 30 days, and 150 hours saved for 180 days. After you’ve reached your storage capacity, the Cloud DVR will delete the oldest recordings to make room for new ones. But if you don’t reach the limit, your content will stay until you delete them. Maximum flexibility for your lifestyle.
