Blue Ridge Earns Industry Honor
Blue Ridge Earns Industry Honor
We’re thrilled to share that Blue Ridge has been named Independent Operator of the Year by CableFax Magazine! This recognition celebrates what makes Blue Ridge unique: a hometown company that blends small-town values with big-time innovation.
In a year of transformation across the industry, CableFax spotlighted Blue Ridge as the embodiment of a mid-size operator with a hometown feel. This is also reflected in our top ranking in the CTAM/HarrisX Internet Satisfaction Survey. As Blue Ridge President David Masenheimer explained, Blue Ridge is “here for the long haul,” committed to keeping our roots in Palmerton and serving our neighbors with care and integrity.
While we’re proud of our legacy, Blue Ridge is equally focused on the future. Over the past two decades we've continued to invest substantial capital to modernize our systems. Our fiber network upgrade is well underway, providing customers with faster, more reliable, and symmetrical speeds. As VP of Operations Mark Masenheimer shared, the move to fiber over DOCSIS 4.0 ensures a futureproof foundation that will reduce service interruptions and keep customers connected better than ever. Innovation doesn’t stop at internet. We have also launched Blue Ridge Mobile, giving customers the ability to bundle mobile service with internet for unmatched value. As Mark describes, “when you bundle our mobile with our home internet, I believe you have the best deal out there.” It’s a natural extension of the service we’ve provided for decades, meeting families where they are for entertainment, communication, and connection.
Even as technology advances, Blue Ridge remains deeply family-oriented. Founded in 1950 by Claude Reinhard, Blue Ridge is still guided by multiple generations of the family today. Many employees have worked alongside us for decades, with some families representing three or four generations of service! This family-first spirit extends to our customers too, as we remain dedicated to serving communities where we live and work. Read more about Blue Ridge’s history: https://www.brctv.com/about-us.
This award is not just about our technology; it’s about our people. To our employees, thank you for your hard work and dedication. To our customers, thank you for trusting us to keep you connected. This recognition belongs to all of you. Together, we’ll continue to innovate, grow, and deliver the service you deserve—because at Blue Ridge, we care because we’re you.
