Affordable Connectivity Program

The federal government is no longer accepting new Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) enrollments as of February 8, 2024. At Blue Ridge, we have affordable internet options to help keep you connected.

What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was a vital initiative by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) offering a monthly discount on internet bills for qualifying low-income households. Sadly, due to lack of additional funding from the Federal Government, the program has ceased operation after April 2024, marking the end of the fully funded tenure.

Enrollment for the ACP concluded on February 8th, 2024. Participating providers, like Blue Ridge, extended this discount to eligible accounts, affording them up to a $30 reduction on their internet service bills.

With the discontinuation of the Affordable Connectivity Program, the up to $30/month discount will no longer apply to enrolled participants. It's crucial for affected individuals to be aware of this change and to consider alternative options for managing their internet expenses moving forward. What happens now that the Affordable Connectivity Program ended?

Following the discontinuation of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), it's crucial for participating households to understand the next steps regarding their internet service. Since the ACP has ended, households were required to opt-in to continue receiving internet service from Blue Ridge.

Opting to continue service post-ACP means that households will be billed according to Blue Ridge's general monthly rates and will be subject to our standard terms and conditions.

Should there be any immediate questions or concerns regarding the decision to end the ACP, individuals are encouraged to reach out to their local member of Congress for further assistance. Contact information for local representatives can be found at www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member.
