Affordable Connectivity Program

The federal government is no longer accepting new Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) enrollments as of February 8, 2024. At Blue Ridge, we have affordable internet options to help keep you connected.

What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a discount on monthly internet bills for qualifying low-income households.

Blue Ridge is participating in this program and eligible households currently receive up to a $30/month discount towards their internet service. Only one monthly service discount is allowed per household. Please note, Blue Ridge is not participating in the one-time discount towards the purchase of a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer.

It is important to understand that in the event the Affordable Connectivity Program is discontinued, the up to a $30/month discount would end. Please read on for more details.

What happens if the Affordable Connectivity Program ends?

It is important to understand that if the Affordable Connectivity Program is discontinued, participating households will need to opt-in to continue to receive internet service from their provider after the program ends. If a household chooses to continue receiving service in the event the ACP ends, it will be billed Blue Ridge’s general monthly rates and will be subject to our standard terms and conditions.

**Important Updates**
The FCC issued an order on January 11, 2024, announcing the potential wind-down/termination of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) due to lack of additional funding from the Federal Government. The federal government is no longer accepting new ACP enrollments as of February 8, 2024.

At Blue Ridge, we pride ourselves in remaining transparent with our customers and will continue to keep you informed as we learn more regarding the wind-down process.

Any immediate questions or concerns about the decision to end the ACP should be directed toward your local member of Congress. For contact information, please visit www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member
