Billing Questions & Answers

What does "CR" mean?

"CR" indicates credit has been applied to your account. If you are a seasonal customer and gave a reconnect date at time of disconnect, you receive a $10 credit (CR).

Why dont I see the changes I made to my account on my bill?

Depending on your billing cycle, changes to your account may not show until the following month.

I am a new customer. Why am I being charged for 2 months of service at one time?

Unlike a utility where your monthly change is based on usage and thus calculated at the end of your billing period, Blue Ridge charges a standard monthly rate for your service which is due at the beginning of your billing cycle. As with all subscription services, such as newspapers and magazines, you are billed in advance.

Why are items listed separately on my bill?

Itemized bills simply show each service that is currently being subscribed to and any applicable taxes or fees. As you add additional services, such as digital cable, it will become another entry on your bill.
Examples:
  • Additional @ $.50 - cost for each additional analog television outlet.
  • Basic+ - cost for our analog Basic+ cable TV service.
  • Digital Basic+ - cost for our digital basic cable service.
  •

I just had cable installed/reconnected. Why does my bill show “Previous Balance due?”

This bill simply shows charges for the first month minus any credit you may have had.
